AC Installation & Replacement in Toms River
Fully Licensed Technicians Delivering Quality Solutions
Since 1994, Care Temp, LLC has installed and replaced high-performance central air conditioning systems to keep our clients cool and comfortable. Every technician on our team is a certified, technically trained professional, and we work on all makes and models of equipment. Whether you need a new system in a home that has never had central air or a full replacement for a unit that has run its course, we provide free estimates before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect.
Choosing the right contractor matters as much as choosing the right system. An improperly sized or installed unit will cycle inefficiently, wear out faster, and cost more to operate. Our team evaluates your home’s square footage, ductwork condition, and load requirements to make sure the system we install is the right fit.
Signs Your AC System May Need to Be Replaced
Most central air conditioners have a service life of 10 to 15 years, depending on maintenance history and how hard they’ve worked through New Jersey’s humid summers. It's important that you recognize when your system is on its way out so you can have it replaced before it fails.
If another company has told you your system can’t be repaired and must be replaced, don’t commit to that without a second look. We offer free second opinions so you can make an informed call. Our job is to give you accurate information, not to sell you a replacement you might not need.
Our AC Installation Process
We install major brands, including Rheem, Carrier, Trane, and others, and our team receives extensive training on every product we sell and service. No job starts without a free estimate, and no job ends without the home left clean. Our technicians remove all debris and leave the work area exactly as they found it.
Proper installation goes beyond setting equipment in place. We evaluate ductwork condition, confirm the system is correctly sized for the space, and test operation before we leave. Every installation includes pulling all required permits, which protects you from code violations, insurance complications, and problems at resale.
For homeowners who need flexibility, financing options are available. A new AC system is a significant investment, and we don’t want cost to be the reason you put it off when the right solution is within reach.
Why Choose Care Temp, LLC?
We hold a New Jersey Master HVACR License and are a designated preferred contractor with New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a status that reflects a demonstrated standard of quality and professionalism.
One of those partners, P&N Distribution, noted in a published statement that, over many years, across hundreds of heating and air conditioning installations completed by our team, they hadn’t received a single consumer complaint tied to our work. That record reflects what we’ve built this business on: fair, reliable, loyal service on every job.
Our approach is straightforward: we give customers honest information about their systems rather than steering them toward unnecessary replacements. Every installation includes pulling all required permits. Skipping permits is never acceptable, and if another company has suggested otherwise, we’ll tell you plainly why that puts your home and investment at risk.

Answering Your Most Important Questions

-
How do I know if I need a new AC system or just a repair?
If a company has told you replacement is the only option, we offer a free second opinion before you commit. Our goal is to give you honest information about what makes financial sense, not to upsell a new system when a repair will do the job. As a general guide, systems over 12 to 15 years old with a history of frequent repairs and rising energy bills are strong candidates for replacement, and a repair estimate that approaches half the cost of a new unit often tips the math in that direction.
-
Do you pull permits for AC installations in Toms River?
Yes. We pull all required permits for every AC installation and replacement we complete. New Jersey code requires permits for this type of work, and skipping them can expose homeowners to code violations, insurance complications, and problems at resale. If another company has suggested bypassing the permit process, that’s a serious concern, and we’ll explain why.
-
What brands of AC systems do you install?
We work on all makes and models and carry major brands including Rheem, Carrier, Trane, and others. Our team receives extensive training on every brand and product we sell and service, so you can expect the same quality of installation regardless of which system is the right fit for your home.
-
Is financing available for a new AC installation?
Yes, we offer financing options for customers who need flexibility when investing in a new system. Financing can make a higher-efficiency unit more accessible by spreading the upfront cost over time. Contact us to learn about current options.
-
How long does an AC installation or replacement take?
Most residential central AC replacements are completed in a single day when no major ductwork changes are needed. Installations requiring ductwork modifications or additional electrical work may take longer depending on the scope. We’ll give you a clear picture of the timeline during your free estimate.

I want to THANK CARE TEMP for helping me during this 115 degree heat wave. I had no AC and my house was 98 degrees. Some community members recommended DK SLEDZAK, BERGE HVAC and CARE TEMP. Care Temp was the ONLY company that answered the phone during the holiday heat wave and sent a tech out that day to fix my AC. Care Temp gained a new customer and it has been 1 week and still no return phone call back from the other companies. THANK YOU CARE TEMP for your help and for caring for us old people!!!! I will dKim Blum

I live in Whiting and I called Care Temp because my AC was not working. I spoke with the office and immediately was given an appointment. Since my ac is old, I didn't want to take any more chances of it not working during the summer time so I asked the tech for a price to replace it. I did call 2 more local companies for a quote but Sledzik never showed up and when I called the office, the lady was rude and told me that I did not have an appointment and when I gave the name of who I spoke to, she told me thMarilyn Sartucci
