Heater Maintenance in Toms River
Honest Diagnostics & Annual Tune-Ups
Care Temp, LLC provides professional heating maintenance built on one principle: tell you what your system actually needs. No upselling, no inflated recommendations. Every technician on our team is a certified, technically trained professional, and we hold a New Jersey Master HVACR License and a NJ Home Improvement Contractor license. We service all makes and models of equipment and offer comprehensive tune-ups to maximize your unit's performance and efficiency.
Ocean County’s coastal environment brings salt air, humidity, and cold winters that place real seasonal stress on heating equipment. Scheduling maintenance before that stress arrives is the most reliable way to keep your system running when you need it.
What Our Heating Maintenance Visits Include
A maintenance visit from Care Temp, LLC is a thorough system evaluation, not a quick once-over. Our certified technicians service furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps from all major brands and models. During a visit, a technician will inspect burners, blowers, and heat exchangers; check ignition systems and combustion efficiency; test safety switches and system controls; clean key components; and assess airflow and filter condition, both of which affect efficiency and indoor air quality during the heating season.
Catching a cracked heat exchanger or a failed safety control in the fall, before the system runs continuously, avoids a mid-winter emergency call and the safety risk that comes with it. When the visit is done, you’ll get an honest assessment of what we found. If nothing needs attention, we’ll tell you that. We also leave your home exactly as we found it, removing all debris and cleaning the work area before we go.
Why Fall Is the Right Time to Schedule a Tune-Up
Heating systems should be serviced once a year, and fall is the right window. A furnace or boiler that sat idle through spring and summer can develop problems that don’t surface until the system is called on to run continuously in cold weather. Identifying those issues in October is a very different situation from discovering them in January.
Preventive maintenance reduces the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns and keeps the system operating near its rated efficiency throughout the heating season, which affects utility costs over time. Regular service also supports better indoor air quality during the months when homes are sealed, and the heating system runs frequently. A well-maintained system is more reliable.

Answering Your Most Important Questions
Browse the questions below or contact us directly for assistance.
-
How often should I have my heating system serviced?
Heating systems should be serviced at least once a year. Fall is the recommended time for furnaces and boilers, so any issues are caught before cold weather arrives. Heat pumps run year-round and may benefit from a second service visit in spring. Getting ahead of the heating season means problems are fixed when fixing them is straightforward, not when temperatures have already dropped.
-
What does a heating maintenance visit typically include?
A standard tune-up covers inspecting burners, blowers, and heat exchangers; checking ignition systems and combustion efficiency; testing safety controls and switches; cleaning key components; and assessing airflow and filter condition. Our certified technicians work on all makes and models, and when the visit is complete, you’ll get an honest assessment of what your system actually needs, nothing more.
-
Do you service all types and brands of heating systems?
Yes. We work on all makes and models, including furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps. Our team members receive extensive training on every brand and product we service, covering widely used names like Carrier, Trane, Rheem, Weil-McLain, Navien, and Burnham, among others. If we service it, our technicians are trained on it.
-
What if another company told me my heating system needs to be replaced?
Call us before you commit to a replacement. If another company has said your system can’t be repaired, we offer a free second opinion. Our approach is straightforward: we give you accurate information about what your system actually needs. We won’t tell you to replace something that can be repaired.
-
Are you available if my heating system stops working in the middle of the night?
Yes. We answer calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When a heating emergency is reported, a customer service representative responds and dispatches a technician to your home. Customers have reported heat restored within roughly an hour of calling and a technician on site within 75 minutes of an early-morning call. Those are customer-reported outcomes, not a guaranteed response window.

I want to THANK CARE TEMP for helping me during this 115 degree heat wave. I had no AC and my house was 98 degrees. Some community members recommended DK SLEDZAK, BERGE HVAC and CARE TEMP. Care Temp was the ONLY company that answered the phone during the holiday heat wave and sent a tech out that day to fix my AC. Care Temp gained a new customer and it has been 1 week and still no return phone call back from the other companies. THANK YOU CARE TEMP for your help and for caring for us old people!!!! I will dKim Blum

I live in Whiting and I called Care Temp because my AC was not working. I spoke with the office and immediately was given an appointment. Since my ac is old, I didn't want to take any more chances of it not working during the summer time so I asked the tech for a price to replace it. I did call 2 more local companies for a quote but Sledzik never showed up and when I called the office, the lady was rude and told me that I did not have an appointment and when I gave the name of who I spoke to, she told me thMarilyn Sartucci
